Today, the TorqueNados woke up bright and early in order to get to Spring Arbor University. Snowstorms covered cars in snow and caused power outages in hotels, but the TorqueNados were ready for their second day. We arrived at the university and started our games, with the same amount of, if not more, TorqueNado spirit as yesterday. After the qualification rounds, our record was 6-6. We were fortunately picked for an alliance with team 3656, the DreadBots. We won our first match against alliance six, 102 to 97, which advanced us to the upper bracket. We were unfortunately eliminated in the semifinals against alliance three. However, we were given the creativity award. Overall, this was a good experience, and one the team will not soon forget. We learned different robot strategies, had fun together, and did well in our first tournament of the season.
